As anyone who has ever done it can tell you, hiking is an amazing experience. Not only is it a great way to exercise, but it is also a terrific way to connect with nature, explore beautiful sights and occasionally, meet some great people. There are great hiking trails throughout the country, but some of the absolute best ones can be found nestled in the northwest. Here is just a small sample of the trails to hike in the Northwest.

Avalanche Lake Trail in Montana is a relatively short (2 miles one way) trail that offers stunning views of the Montana landscape, including, mountains, waterfalls and spectacular lake views. Another amazing trail you will find in the northwest is Washington’s Adams Glacier Meadows Trail. At a distance of 3 miles and a max elevation of 6500 feet, you are bound to find amazing views along your hike. From beautiful meadows to views of Mount Adams, you will not be disappointed in the sights. Lastly, Oregon’s Cooper Spur trail is simply beautiful. With a distance of 7 miles and max elevation of 8300 feet, Cooper Spur features amazing views including glaciers, mountains, and at one point most of Oregon and Washington!
